Prince Philip in Morning Coat & Umbrella
In the 1920’s a walking cane was obligatory with a morning coat, though nowadays a cane will definitely look more like a period costume. Back then, a simple black cane with ivory or gold top was the choice of the gentry.
On the other hand, an elegant, long dark, rolled umbrella is a perfect modern substitute, especially for outdoor occasions such as a horse race.
